Nishi Chawla was invited to read from her poetry at the Montana Book Festival in USA on September 12, 2019. Featured poet at the Montana Book Festival on September 12, 2019.

On May 27, 2018, Nishi Chawla read her poetry at the Sahitya Academy again in New Delhi, India.

On December 9, 2017, Nishi Chawla's "A Himalayan Poem" was released at the Goa Literary Festival, India, where Nishi Chawla also gave a 40 minute reading from her poetry. Prof Subodh Sarkar interviewed and introduced Dr Chawla.

On February 3, 2017, Nishi Chawla participated in the Calcutta Literary Festival in India.

On June 10, 2017, Nishi Chawla gave a 45 minute poetry reading on “A Himalayan Poem” at the Gandhi Center, Bethesda, Maryland, USA.

On January 31, 2015, Nishi Chawla gave a poetry reading at the Sahitya Academy in New Delhi, India.

On March 4, 2012, Nishi Chawla gave a 45 minute poetry reading on “Ganga: Poetry, Myth, and Dance” at the Gandhi Center, Bethesda, Maryland.

On June 30, 2011, Nishi Chawla read her poetry and participated in a panel discussion on the topic: “In Search of Sita: Revisiting Mythology” at the Asia Society, Washington DC.

On December 4, 2010, Nishi Chawla gave a poetry reading at the Asian American Forum, Washington, D.C.
